Hi everybody!

We are sure the Spanish day in your school must have been great! We couldn't listen to the music you played but we could see the tapas, and they look very tasty!
Congratulations to the people involved in our day!
We are already working on the European Day in our school, this year specially dedicated to Poland. We hope our celebration will be as successful as yours!
By the way, our Easter holidays start next Monday, so we'll be in contact afterwards...

Bye for now

SPANISH DAY IN OUR SCHOOL

On Wednesday, 21st of March there was a Spanish day in our school during which students could attend many interesting presentations and participate in a contest of knowledge about Spain.

First two boys gave us some basic information about this country. Then there was a fashion show in English and Spanish in which many celebrities from both countries were played by pupils from our school.
We could also listen to two of our friends playing Spanish music and students from one class prepared some traditional Spanish snacks (tapas) and biscuits that everyone could taste.
For the contest of knowledge, which had three stages, each class had to choose two representatives who were to take part in it. In each part, the contestants got two questions and if they answered them correctly they passed to the next round. We could also watch presentations about Spanish autonomic regions and holidays prepared by students from the year one and two classes.
There was also a competition for the best presentation of a Spanish holiday and the winner was the class that presented La Tomatina.
The whole day was fantastic, interesting and very funny. We also learned a few words in
Spanish and some main information about this country. I think all the students enjoyed it very much. Congratulations and thanks to all the teachers and students who worked to prepare such an amazing day. :)

English theatre contest „My favourite fairy-tale”

March is a busy month in our school this year.
Last week, 14th March, we had a 9th edition of English theatre contest in which classes from the year one performed fairy tales in English. Some of the plays were really interesting and surprising but this year there was something special. Two groups of students prepared plays about Spanish stories.

The first one was an adaptation of a Spanish folk story “Three lazy sons” and the second one was an interesting version of adventures of the famous knight errant “Don Quixote in trouble”

Hello!

Sorry to keep you waiting but we tried to post the comments under your questions. We like your answers but here are two propositions:

The answers are very good. I think that the only wrong answer is that the
colours of the Polish flag are red and white. You wrote wrong order. Our flag is
white and red.

Hi, my name is Olga.
Thank you for your work.
I think that the most of your answers are good but I don't agree that Isaak Basheris Singer is Polish. He was born in Poland but he is Jewish. Other answers are correct.
I think that's all, We are waiting to meet you.

Hi guys!

We have been reading your answers about Spain in the blog, thanks a lot for your work. To be honest, we don’t know whether our answers about Poland are correct, so we would like to know if they are. Could you let us know please?

About your answers, we would like to comment on some of them, specially the ones about sports:

Hi, my name is Soraya
Thank you so much for answering the quiz. It's nice to know how many things you found out about our country.
But about the sportsmen/women we don't agree with the most of them. It's weird that you haven't noticed about other cyclists (like Alberto Contador), basketball players (like Pau and Marc Gasol or Ricky Rubio) or football players (like Xavi Hernández, Iker Casillas or Cesc Fàbregas).
And also, thank you for putting Santiago de Compostela in the largest cities of Spain; it is an honour for us.
That's all for now; we can't wait to see you.
Bye.

Hi, my name is Marta
I like your work very much. Congratulations! But where did you find those names? I mean the players’ names because they are very strange, I have never heard of some of them before. If you don´t mind, could you find easier names? If not, we will send you some information. And I would like you to send us information about the players because I’m sure we also put some names which you have never heard before!
Hope to hear from you soon.
